We don't store your essay text
We store anonymous counts and scores—like your overall score and writing type—to power your improvement graph and real usage numbers. We do not store the text of your essay.
Your writing is never shown to other users
What you paste is never published, shared, or shown to anyone else. Sharing only includes scores you choose to share.
Sample essays don't count toward public stats
If you use 'Try a sample,' that analysis is not counted in the public writer counter. Only your own real analyses count.
You control sharing
Nothing is shared unless you choose to share a scorecard. Scorecards never include essay text, names, or email.
Don't enter sensitive info
Avoid pasting personal, sensitive, or confidential information.
Remove your saved work
Your draft and scores are saved locally in your browser. Clearing your browser storage removes them.
